Georgia Animal Rescue and Defence (Pembroke, Georgia 31321) is a non-profit, 501(c)(3)/509(a)(2) licensed no-kill animal shelter and rescue organization. GARD is dedicated to saving the lives of homeless, abused, and neglected dogs and cats, and promoting the spaying and neutering of all companion animals. Its goal is to eventually establish a low-cost spay/neuter clinic at the shelter.
Note: A number of people have generously offered to “correct” GARD’s spelling of the word “defence.” This is not a typo, but a preference for the British variant of the more traditional spelling of defense.
