CAPE (Scotts Valley, California 95067) is an organization whose goal is to actively educate people about the plight of animals in society today.
In its Foster Care Program, CAPE provides sanctuary for rescued animals who are older, injured, or recovering from an illness. Every animal CAPE rescues is placed into a new, loving home through its Adoption Program. With its new Veterinary Assistance Fund, CAPE works collaboratively with other organizations to offer financial assistance to homeless animals. This program allows CAPE to help in specific cases where another organization may not have been able to meet all the needs required to save an animal’s life.
CAPE also actively sponsors, supports, and produces educational programs designed to inform people about the issues animals face in society today. These range from its television show, Speaking of Animals, to its documentary film production, Old Friends.
