Located two hours from New York City, Catskill Animal Sanctuary (Saugerties, New York 12477) provides a safe and loving haven for abused and abandoned horses and farm animals, animals who have never known warm shelter, spacious pastures, good food, or the touch of a kind hand.
Since 2001, Catskill Animal Sanctuary has provided refuge for about 1,300 such animals, including horses, ponies, cows, goats, sheep, donkeys, pigs, rabbits, and a variety of birds.
So few speak out on behalf of farm animals – animals that suffer no differently than dogs, cats, or humans. Rarely, if ever, do most of us even consider their plight. Catskill Animal Sanctuary serves as a refuge for these needy animals and as a center to raise awareness of their mistreatment and its impact on all of us: animals, humans, and the environment.
Animals are available for adoption as well as for sponsorship.
