Butte Humane Society (Chico, California 95928) is one of the oldest non-profit agencies in Butte County, California, working since 1911 to bring humanitarian care to dogs, cats, and other animals entering its shelter.
The goal at the Butte Humane Society is to find loving homes for all the lost, abandoned, and otherwise unwanted animals that come through its door, and to provide education to the public concerning animal care and the importance of spaying and neutering.
The Board of Directors, staff and volunteers of the Butte Humane Society are committed to a common goal; to place all adoptable animals into loving, caring homes and reduce the suffering brought about by companion animal overpopulation, abuse, and neglect.
