The Massachusetts Animal Coalition (Westborough, Massachusetts 01581) is a statewide, non-profit organization of animal professionals. It was formed in February 2000 to help promote collaboration among animal care professionals. Massachusetts Animal Coalition and its member work together to decrease the number of homeless, neglected, displaced, and abused animls in Massachusetts.
By joining together, MAC members have created strong alliances and developed new programs and initiatives. Ever increasing numbers of Massachusetts animals have benefited from this cooperation.
MAC members include animal control officers; veterinarians; representatives from other shelters (open admission and no-kill); canine breed rescue; feline rescue; pet supply retailers; cruelty investigators; attorneys; and representatives of state agencies, humane societies, state veterinary associations, and veterinary schools.
